디트로이트 한인회는 첨부와 같이 제 11회 미주 한인의 날 행사를 개최하기로 하고 여러분을 정중히 초대하고자 합니다.
미주 한인의 날은 2005년 미국 상·하원 결의를 통해 제정되었으며 2006년부터 매년 1월 13일에 기념식 행사를 가져 왔습니다. 열한 번째를 맞는 이번 기념식에서는 한국소개와 독도관련 영상물 등의 상영을 비롯하여 사물놀이와 전통춤 공연, 한국무술시범 등이 다채롭게 펼쳐질 예정이며 참석하신 분 모두에게 저녁식사와 기념책자가 제공됩니다.
모쪼록 뜻깊은 행사에 많은 분들의 성원과 참여를 당부드립니다.

On behalf of the Korean American Community of Metro Detroit (KACMD), we would like to invite you to the ceremony event of Korean American Day at the KACCM (Korean American Cultural Center of Michigan) on Jan 13 (Wednesday), 2015. The event will start at 6:30pm.
Korean American Day honors the contributions of the Korean American community to the United States and commemorates the arrival of the first Korean immigrants on January 13, 1903. In 2005, the U.S. Senate and House passed resolutions by unanimous consent expressing support for the goals and aspirations of Korean American Day.
On “Korean American Day“, we memorialize the more than 100 year journey of Korean Americans in the United States, and to encourage the people of the United States to share in such commemoration in order to greater appreciate the valuable contributions Korean Americans have made to the United States.
KACMD has been celebrated the Korean American Day since 2006, and we like to invite you again in 2016 to celebrate together with us our 11th celebration event.
Please come and enjoy the event with us. We will serve delicious Korean food, and performing Korean Traditional Samulnori, Dance and martial art for you to enjoy at the event.
