Client is a South Korean company specializing in the manufacturing and supply of automotive components, particularly powertrain systems and battery module systems.

About the role

As an Application Engineer at Client Detroit, LLC, you will be the primary technical liaison between the company and its customers. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and customers to understand requirements, propose solutions, and ensure the seamless integration of our products. Your expertise in automotive systems, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate complex information will drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

Responsibilities

·       Technical Support and Customer Engagement:

Ø  Serve as the main technical contact point for customers.

Ø  Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and challenges; provide guidance and recommend suitable solutions.

Ø  Analyze customer specifications to develop customized solutions.

Ø  Support the design, development, and validation of automotive systems in compliance with industry standards.

Ø  Collaborate with internal engineering team to improve product designs based on feedback.

Ø  Assist in selection, integration, and troubleshooting of automotive components and systems

·       Documentation and Reporting:

Ø  Prepare technical documents, application notes, and specifications.

Ø  Maintain technical databases and resources.

Ø  Generate reports on customer interactions, project status, and technical issues.

Location & commitments

·       Employment type: Full-time

·       Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

·       Location: Rochester Hills, MI 48309

·       Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites, conferences, and industry events as required

Candidate requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

·       Relevant experience in automotive engineering or related roles, ideally within the automotive industry.

·       Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

·       Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

·       Strong communication and presentation abilities for technical audiences.

·       Ability to understand CAD(3D & 2D) and analysis simulation results.

·       Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

·       Bilingual Korean (Preferred)
