On March 22, Goldfish Tea in Royal Oak, MI will be introducing semi-wild Korean tea and Korean teaware to the general public for the first time in Michigan.
The speaker will be Dr. Arthur Kyung Jae Park. Known for his own ceramic work, Dr. Park also has more than 40 years of research experience in Korean ceramics and tea.
In 1999 Dr. Park was the recipient of a Special Award of Appreciation from The Korean American Community of Metro Detroit for 30 of service promoting Korean Arts and Culture.
He was the keynote speaker at the 2010 International Ulsan Onggi Exposition, is the current International Coordinator for “The Gangjin Experience” for the City of Gangjin, Korea (internationally known for their historic celadon) and was the USA representative at the Mungyeong Teabowl Festival in Mungyeong, Korea for six years. He also acts as an advisor for art and culture projects in Korea.
Dr. Park will provide an informal presentation on Korean teas, Tea Culture and Teaware as we enjoy a selection of semi-wild Korean teas.
